Patrick Schumacher, Founder and Director of Climate-Cities has more than 6 years of experience in planning and simulation of energy concepts for regions, cities, and districts. as well as the planning and development of innovative heat and power supply solutions for districts based on renewable energies. Expertise in blockchain with study for a larger energy supplier. Experiences of national and international research projects for innovative and sustainable energy systems with the research institute Fraunhofer IWES for cities in Vietnam, China, and Germany. Also experience in project management of EU projects (Project EFFESUS 7th EU research programme) Patrick Schumacher studied eletrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Aachen, as well as renewable energies and energy efficiency at the University of Kassel. Several years of professional experience as a research assistant and group leader in project management. Further expertise has been gained at Fraunhofer CSE in Boston, USA and at the startup Energieloft GmbH in Aachen in the evaluation of innovative start-ups in the energy sector. He is also a certified expert in Climate Finance of Frankfurt School of Finance and UNEP.
