Contest Rules & Privacy Statement
The contest is organised by PXL – Hogeschool, with registered office at Elfde Liniestraat 24 3500 HASSELT, VAT-BE0472.630.817 (hereafter “Hogeschool PXL”), and is open to all natural persons over 18 years of age living on the Belgian, Holland or German territory and having a LinkedIn profile. There is no obligation to purchase and the contest doesn’t provide any benefit (direct or indirect) to the school.
LinkedIn is not associated with or cannot be held responsible for the contest.
The contest runs from 14/11/22 00.01h until 31/08/23 23.59h.
The contest will be reflected on Hogeschool PXL LinkedIn page, and the contest rules on blockchain4prosumers.eu . To validly participate, participants must:
- Follow the LinkedIn page
- Answer the 2 questions formulated in the post announcing the contest: https://7bpubf76qyv.typeform.com/to/E1oWedwR
- If selected, be able to attend the pilots on the given dates (online or offline, to be discussed case by case)
- Agree to media exposure of the content of their speeddate with our experts, in order to put a base for dissemination of usefull content (the extend of the exposure will be discussed with the winner. Standard we think about registration of the Spedd-date and a “test case” article on our blog”)
- All participants who were not selected for the speeddate, will still get early access to our Mini-Academy of Blockchain4firms
The winner(s) are the participant whose question is deemed most relevant by the jury, consisting of a team from the marketing department. The jury will judge the answers freely and objectively and is not obliged to motivate its selection in any way, positive or negative. There will be no correspondence with participants in this regard.
Only 1 entry per LinkedIn account will be accepted. Hogeschool PXL should never answer for any particular choice of winner.
In this contest, the prize is the possibility to let thei question be answered by a team of experts. Hogeschool PXL reserves the right to change the aforementioned selection of items at any time if the candidate will not be able to attend his speed-date during the pilots. This prize is not transferable or redeemable against cash or other benefits of any kind.
A Hogeschool PXL’s employee will contact the winners per email. The processing of the prize will be done via the e-mail address given to this employee. If the winner does not respond within 1 week, he loses the right to his prize. The winner also loses the right to his prize if he’s not able to attend physically the pilot(s) where his question will be answered.
Hogeschool PXL staff are allowed to participate in this contest. Other persons who directly or indirectly participated in the organisation or distribution of this contest are not excluded from participating.
Participation in this contest requires the collection and processing of the participant’s personal data as part of the conduct and handling of the contest as described in the contest privacy statement. The privacy statement can be found at the bottom of the contest rules in section 2.
Hogeschool PXL reserves the right to change the contest or its course if unforeseen circumstances or circumstances independent of their will warrant it. They cannot be held liable if, due to circumstances beyond their control, the contest should be interrupted, postponed or cancelled or if certain modalities of this contest should be modified.
In case of abuse, deception, fraud or if circumstances so require, Hogeschool PXL expressly reserves the right to (a) exclude the participant(s) concerned from participating in the contest without further ado or (b) modify, postpone, shorten or withdraw the contest or any part thereof.
Hogeschool PXL is not responsible for failures, breakdowns or other unforeseen problems emanating from your internet connection or third parties.
Participation in this contest implies the unconditional acceptance of these rules. No dispute in this regard will be considered. The participants accept the applicable conditions without any reservation, merely by their participation in the competition.
These rules are subject to Belgian law, to the exclusion of private international law and the Vienna Sales Convention. The courts of Brussels have sole jurisdiction for all disputes relating to its application.
Chapter 2: Privacy statement: GDPR rules are followed at all times
Hogeschool PXL treats participants’ data as confidential information and will never pass them on to third parties not belonging to the Consortium for the BC4P research project. They are used for the further course and handling of this contest as Hogeschool PXL cannot contact the winners without these data.
The person responsible for awarding the prize is Hogeschool PXL and the partners from th BC4P Consortium. The prize is delivered to the winner via Hogeschool PXL. Each participant agrees that, if he or she is the winner, he or she will be contacted personally, by email and by phone, by Hogeschool PXL.
After the contest, the participant will be asked if they want to be informed about next similar possibilities. In case they don’t want to be kept informed of these possibilities, the data will be deleted immediately. GDPR rules are followed at all times.
Participants have the right to ask to see, correct, delete and transfer their data and the right to restrict processing. Furthermore, participants may object to the processing of their data, especially when processing for marketing communications. The participant can also reach Hogeschool PXL ‘s data protection officer at any time for any complaints, questions and exercise of rights at: info@blockchain4prosumers.eu and the participant also has the right to contact the Data Protection Authority in case of complaints.
