Coöperatie TIORC U.A.
The cooperative (legal entity) TIORC is a formal collaboration of 4 SME’s that together, based on their individual knowledge and experience, offer integrated solutions for refurbishment towards zero-energy houses within real estate (www.tiorc.nl). Furthermore, the corporation allows the smaller sme’s to jointly invest in innovation, since the companies are too small to do step into very large innovation projects. The partners can be described as follows: EPM, Maastricht, electrical installation company with 60 employees, active since 1959; Sjef Ubaghs installatietechniek, Berg en Terblijt, total installer, 40 employees, active since 1957; Habenu-vdKreeke, Nuth, integral architectural solutions, 220 employees,; SATIJNplus Architects, Born, specialist in renovation, re-use and sustainability of (cultural) real estate. TIORC has refurbished an existing dwelling into an innovative energy model house in Heerlen (Vrieheide), to learn about the challenges with zero-emission refurbishment and for the benefit of information and education.
